I am going to apply for a tourist visa in India to attend a job interview there.?

I am going to apply for a tourist visa in India to attend a job interview there. Do I need to tell the Indian Embassy here in Manila, Philippines that I am going to attend a job interview there in India? Will it affect my possibility of getting an approval for my tourist visa?
