Egypt: Is it true about the traffic ?

Traffic in Cairo before and after January was and still very bad. Attaba and Imbaba are quite poor and not suitable for tourists and not recommended. I like to walk in Cairo too although I'm Egyptian. I believe the real tourism is the people's tourism not the sites. Better to walk by the Nile or downtown.
