Permanent wires on my top and bottom teeth after braces?

I have recently had my braces off and have had wires put on behind both my top and bottom teeth to stop them from moving. However, the wire on my top teeth split in half and I have had to have it re-glued on. After I left the dentist from having the wire re-glued I have eaten and when I eat and bite down the wire on my top teeth feels like it is moving upwards and feeling wobbly, like it is coming off. What should I do, is this normal?
